About the Department

BA(Philosophy)Our department establishes on 1966-67.Suresh Halder was the first Professor of our department. Then Muktipada Sengupta joined in the college on02/04/1974 and his date of retirement was 30/08/2008.Their dedication helped the department to stand strong. Tapas Mandal joined on 4/12/2001. Pradip halder joined on 18/9/2013.The faculty members engages themselves in discussion and deliberation upon human thought and concepts down the ages that help the students in understanding the subject.

Departmental Facilities

The department of philosophy provides every education related facility for  General course students of the college. There is a departmental library from which the students may access books. The college library is full of text and reference books for every subjects as well as Philosophy The Professors are always ready to help the students understanding any chapter or topic hazy for them and hard to understand. The Professors are always ready to respond and co-operate the students beyond their scheduled class hours.

All the faculty members a take very important roles in making a student's for the examination and other activities. Apart from the regular classes department provides tutorial and remedial classes if needed for extending special support to the students.
