The Department of Physical Education was started with a grant from C.U. year 2012. The grant was made available for 3year degree course in physical education. The department was started during 2012-2013 session. Department has started 3year degree course with 2 teachers and 30 students. The first batch B.A. in physical education has pass out in 2014-2015 session.
The department of Physical education provides General course in Physical education.

Sundarban hazi desarat college offers a vibrant sports environment with facilities of specious playgrounds, courts, gymnasium along with multizym, Table tennis bord, football ground, cricket ground, kho-kho field, kabaddi court.
Department of physical education organizes Annual sports, inter hostel, inter department competition, & celebrates "National sports day" by sporting activities and participates Inter college tournament & Friendly matches.
