Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)

Objectives and Functions: 

  • The function of Internal Quality Assurance Cell  is to dvelop and sustain a well- entrenched developmental ecology in the campus whereby all the factors necessary for and conducive to the growth and development of a learner into a sensible citizen of the world even in these outlying areas of the Sundarbans are made available to them.  
  • To play a catalytic role in promoting quality in the delivery of curricula in order to instill in students both knowledge of the curricular contents and ethical values. 
  • To enhance the quality of teachers and non-teaching staff with an express purpose of enriching the  educational ecology in the campus.

Finance Sub-Committee

Objectives and Functions: 

  • To plan and supervise all decisions pertaining to financial trsanctions. 
  • To discuss the financial feasibility of recommendations of Development Sub-Committee for clearnace or postponement. 
  • To decide upon freeships to students, fiancial assistances to members of teaching and non-teaching fraternity for career development etc. 
  • To recommend its decisions to the apex platform - Governing Body - for further consideration.

RTI  Cell

Objectives and Functions:

  • Formed as per the provisions of Right to Information Act, 2005, the Cell is committed to comply with any RTI application within stipulated time. 
  • While acknowleding the ethical value of transparency of information, the Cell is also assigned the responsibity of honouring the confidentiality and delicacy of certain information,

       APELLATE AUTHORITY

Development Sub-Committee

Objectives and Functions:

  • To plan, supervise and execute any dvelopmental work in the campus as per the recommendations of some other committees or on its own after necessary and requisite permissions from the competent authority. 
  • Its function is divided across three related steps: planning, new construction and repairing.
  • On adopting an decision, the committee should refer it to the Finanace Sub-Committee for consideration and further action.
  • As for making purchases of building material etc it has to maintain liaison with Purchase and Expenditures Sub-Committee or at the recommendations of DDO-cum-Principal.

Objectives and Functions: 

  • Organising and maintaining in a structured manner the academic activities of the college, in compliance with University norms and regulations.
  • Organising orientation programmes for the students, with respect to curriculum frameworks as earmarked by the affiliating University.
  • Organising different College and University examinations
  • Arrangement for speedy evaluation and scrutiny of answer scripts of University examination to help the University publish result in time.

Internal Complaints Committee [ICC -- POSH]

Objectives and Functions: 

  • The committee works towards preventing incidents of sexual harassment in the workplace by creating awareness, promoting a culture of respect, and implementing preventive measures.
  • The ICC-POSH committee plays a key role in formulating and implementing policies and procedures related to preventing and addressing sexual harassment.
  • The committee receives and addresses complaints of sexual harassment filed by employees.
  • The ICC-POSH committee provides support and guidance to victims of sexual harassment throughout the complaint process.
  • The committee conducts regular awareness programs and training sessions for employees to promote a safe and respectful workplace culture.
  • The ICC-POSH committee ensures compliance with legal requirements related to sexual harassment prevention.
  • The committee continually evaluates the effectiveness of the Sexual Harassment Policy and the processes in place for preventing and addressing sexual harassment.
