The campus of Sundarban Hazi Desarat College is completely green and pollution-free. In addition to giving the students a clean and green environment, SHD College works to educate the students about the importance of a pollution free environment. Rain water harvesting is one of the most effective methods of water management and water conservation. The objective of the Green Campus may be successfully supported by Rain water harvesting systems. Keeping that objective in mind, two water harvesting projects have already been installed in the college premises. One Rain water harvesting system was developed with the funding from P.C. Chandra Group. We have two big water tank (pond) in the campus. We can therefore conveniently store water from the water harvesting system there. College also planning to develop more rain water harvesting system in the campus.
